The cover of My Own Prison is very fitting for the title song. This cover is self-explanatory in my opinion, and anyone who has listened to the song My Own Prison will agree. But on the back cover is something that is not self-explanatory. There is a combination lock, a mirror image of a combination lock actually. The lock is set to point to the number four. Why the number four? And why is the lock backwards? Is it maybe to point oout track number four, Pity For A Dime? Perhaps. Or does it point to something else. Hey maybe its just a random number, who knows. |

Now this one is interesting. If you have an earlier American copy of Human Clay take it out. Now pop offf that plasctic piece that holds the CD itself. Look at the picture of the band, in the left of the botom square, between Marshall and Phillips, see it? There are geographic coordinates there: N30* 14’ ?.7 W084* 0.0 ?.4 There are two coordinates missing though. Well, a couple of days ago I was searching Creed sites when I came across one that mentioned these coordinates, they even thought they had discovered one of the missing ones, but we’ll talk about that later in the Lyrics section. Anyway, this person said that the coordinates led to the crossraods on the front of the Human Clay album, they even got pictures of the spot, and it looks just like it! It is a location In Forida, south of Tallahasse I think it said. Then theres the clocks, the clocks all over the album, inside and out. There’s one on the front, in that things hand, one on the back, and two inside, one in the old hands, and one partially ashowing beside them. Whats strange about them are the times, and the numbers themselves. Clock on front:I can’t tell what the time is on this one, it’s too small Clock on the back:Well, if the numbers were correct it would be 6:43. But the number six is missing, the numbers on the clock go like this, 1,2,5,4,5,7,8,9,10,11, 12, no six…weird. Clock in the hands:Again, the six is missing, and so is the three, the sequence on this clock is as follows: 1,2,4,5,7,8,9,10,11,12. If the numbers were right this ones time would be 5:47(ive talked to others who say its 6:47 but if that was so the hour hand would be closer to the seven) Partial clock:Most of this clock is not visible.b The sequence of numbers appears to be tha same as the clock on the back, the visible numbers are 2,5,4,5. From what can be seen it appears the time would be about 6: 40. What’s going on with the clocks, I have no idea, but there has to be something to it, it cant be just random can it? Fvrom the clocks we can see both the number 3 and six are missing from them. Maybe track three and six has something to do with it (beautiful, faceless man), or maybe track nine(higher), 6+3=9. I’ll just have to wonder I guess. There are two more pictures on the album I’d like to mention. One is the picture of the children, who seem to be made of Bronze. I don’t remember where but I heard that this is an actual statue in Washington or something. And that there is an inscription below it. Could that inscription hold the answer to the clocks or the coordinates? Maybe. There is also a picture of what apears to be a human body, preserved in ash, I’m thinking Pompeii. My guess is that that has to do with the album name, Human Clay, I mean, that could be clay. Also, it is my opinion that the field on the front is representative of the “field of human clay” (the dust has finally settled on the field of human clay, just enough light has shown through to tell the night from the day) |

Ah Weathered, Creeds newest Album. This one is riddled with mysterious imagry. Lets start with the front shall we? The first thing is the “Axe Man” in the backround, chopping down the tree. Could he represent Brian Marshall, severing his ties with the band? After all, they could have known he was leaving long before it was annnounced right? Some people say that the light is shining on him, but to me it looks like it is shining past him. Could it symbolive brian leaving the spotlight of being in a successful band? That’s what I think. Now direct your attention to the top of that tree, if your go from the left edge of where the trunk is being chopped then go up to the top you will see, in the orange light of the sky, a lamb. See it? Other people have told me they think this is a religious thing, the lamb signafying Christ, but I don’t think so. Why would a band trying to drop a christian image put christian imagry on the front of their album? You may have also noticed that, in the sun, is the crest, yep, see it, right there. I think this symbolozes the band being in the spotlight of fame. Just found something new. I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out to me. On the cover there is a hand with a hammer and chisel. Look at his hand...theres a lion on it. I'm not even gonna try and guess what thats for.OKay..maybe I am. Could it be a reference to thesong My Own Prison "A lion roars in the darkness, only he holds the key...". Well, theres my gues for the day |
